Auburn Ravine Interpretive Sign!

Auburn Ravine is a beautiful foothill and valley stream. It flows almost due west from the City of Auburn down through Ophir,
Newcastle, and Lincoln. It then crosses the valley floor and enters the Sacramento River near Verona. Along the way, it provides benefits to people, fish, and wildlife. Its total length is about 34 miles. It provides water for farms, ranches, and orchards. Water for landscaping and recreation. Water for fish and wildlife.
The “Interpretive Sign” is a map with notations about how the creek functions to provide benefits to people and wildlife.
This map is the result of a partnership between NID, PCWA, and Friends of Auburn Ravine. In developing this map, we received valuable input from local residents, the agricultural community, the Nisenan, environmental organizations, City and County departments, and fish and wildlife agencies.
