Video Fish Counting System

Thanks to a generous grant from California Fly Fishers Unlimited, we are happy to announce that Friends of Auburn Ravine is looking forward to the installation of a video fish counting facility on Auburn Ravine. Our intent is to have it up and running for the 2016 Fall Season. The facility will be similar to one on Mill Creek, a tributary of the Sacramento River in Tehama County. The location on Auburn Ravine will probably have a narrower cross-section than the Mill Creek facility, but the CDFW report below will provide a good idea of what we can expect.  Volunteers are needed to scan the videos and count the fish. Go to our Volunteer Page to sign up: Volunteer with Friends of Auburn Ravine.
